DIY Glittered Thank You Cards

I have been oh-so busy with this seasons retail chaos that I haven't had much time to sit let alone create something for me. I wanted to send out a little something to my family for Christmas Thank Yous and for my customers after Christmas.

With the 2013 New Year fast approaching I thought of a little something glittery to make that would bring a little sparkle to my day and hopefully someone else's <3 so these little DIY Glittered Thank You Cards seem to be the perfect cure! I hope you enjoy this little tutorial.

Sunny San Clemente, California

I arrived last evening enjoying drinks and seafood salads by the light of the moon dancing on the waves as we laughed and told stories.

This morning we grabbed a quick bite of breakfast and headed to the beach. We walked the piers and watched the surfers. Here are some goodies I captured for the gorgeous day...

Happy Halloween Weekend!

We got all-dolled up last night for a fun night of winery parties and dancing in Walla Walla. The Mr. even dressed up (this coming from the man who doesn't usually get into the Halloween spirit). We lost out though on every party and dancing so we decided to have our own dancing party with the three other people dressed up in Walla Walla! WW night life is not great compared to other places. Make me miss home but we did make our own fun - that's why I love the Mr. so much! <3

Vegan and Gluten Free Chicken Curry Noodle Stir Fry

Finding yummy recipes that are Vegan friendly and Gluten Free are sometimes hard to come by. So today for lunch I decided to create a yummy fast lunch packed full of protein, fiber and veggies annndd you guessed it- GF and VG.

Ingredients: (serves 2 or one hungry veg head ;))
1/2 cup of preparedMung Bean Noodles
1/2 package of Organic Frozen Stirfry Vegetables
2 Garden Burger Chik'n Patties
1/2 cup of organic coconut milk (NSA)
2 tsp red curry paste
Several dashes of yellow curry, garlic, onion, ginger, salt and pepper spice. Measurements to suit your taste.

In a large skillet add a bit of olive oil and start stir frying your chicken patties. Once fully cooked cut up in pan and toss in noodles (heat for 1-2 min). Add in veggies and the rest of the ingredients and make sure your veggies are not frozen, heated all the way through. Stir fry the ingredients for about 5 minutes, place into bowl and enjoy!

Makes great left overs and fun to eat with chopsticks.

Pumpkinfest 2012

Our friends came over this afternoon for our first annual Pumpkinfest 2012. We started off with coffees for the crisp fall winter and headed out to Klickers Farm to visit the pumpkin patch.

It was so pretty outside! We found so many awesome pumpkins. They also have a fresh produce market there so we grabbed apples and other goodies for Chicken Marsala with Gnocchi and Apple Balsamic Salad.

We cleared out our large kitchen for pumpkin designing. We saved the seeds for treats later. We snacked on Caramel Corn and Pumpkin Ale. To top off the night we watched a scary movie (I opted to not watch- I am too big of a sissy).

Here are some fun photos we caught for our enjoyment!

This is bound to make you smile!

I am not sure if I formally introduced my assistant Lou. He is also my pup-son and really most of the days are spent laying around with his favorite toy of the week and he takes his breaks going for walks and exploring.

He dreads when mom and dad go on date nights because the attention is not focused on him anymore and he has to be left alone for a few hours. We feel bad so we always make sure to get a burger patty to go or left over protein from the restaurant. This time we brought home "treats" and Lou was so tickled pink to see us (secretly he jsut wanted the food) he sat there sweetly ready for his treat which he gently took form my hand. And then nothing, no chewing, no gulping, nothing. I started to giggle because that boy just howled down an amazing piece of steak and didn't even phase him to taste it, none the less chew it. LOL!

You bet your bottom I got a video of this. After this it is onto cleaning the floors (which is a daily habit, yes, having a Mastiff means you have to be EXTRA clean). We do really clean our floors everyday.... BUT isn't he so cute!! I think he's worth it!!

Friday, PIE day

I am working on rustic desserts for an upcoming wedding and I wanted a cute dessert for people to much on that was home-y and very country-esque.

And then it hit me... Mini Cherry Pies

Here's what you need to make yours:

Ingredients:
Pillsbury Pie Crust
1 small can of cherry pie filling
Pam cooking spray
Cookie sheet
Foil
Fork
Spoon
Circular cookie cutter

Directions:
Heat oven to 425 degrees. Line foil on cookie sheet and lightly coat with Pam spray. On a clean surface roll out your pie crust. Take your cookie cutter and cut rounds. Lay them on the foil with about an inch between each.

Open your can of cherry pie filling and make small scoops of filling in the center for each little pie. Take the second sheet and do as you did before with the circles and lay them over the mini pesos the filling is sealed in.

Take your fork and press it on the sides to look like a pie then take the tips of the fork and make holes on the top.

Place them in the oven until flaky and lightly browned. Let cool and serve with mini scoops of vanilla bean ice cream!

Yummy!
