Walla Walla Sweet Onion Festival

We are do lucky to live in such a fun little town. There is always something going on whether it is a food, wine, bicycle, tournaments and more! This week was the Walla Walla Sweet Onion Festival. We are known for our onions do many of the best restaurants in town decided to switch up their menus and specials to cater towards the special little veggie.

We grabbed our neighbors and took them to Whitehouse-Crawford, Walla Walla's 5 star restaurant and spoiled our tummies with some delicious drinks and food. I chose the sweet onion fritters appetizer, garden flower and beet salad with sweet onion vinegarette, sweet onion veggie pasta and sweet onion and caramel house made ice cream (yes, it was incredible and yes, we even have onion ice cream). The food and company was amazing but what was most surprising was the rose filled sky and heavy rain storm (at 88degrees) in our view as we had a wonderful time.
